Ashtyn Richardson's photo debut!

Ashtyn is 4 months old, and a suuuper cutie pie! She really enjoyed her first photo shoot, and hung in there for almost two hours. She even took a little cat-nap midway through just to keep herself fresh. Here's a few favorites from this morning's session.

I totally forgot we had this picture on our little camera....Lynn and I went to dinner on Valentine's Day with our friends Chuck and Sarah. I LOVE this picture Chuck took of us. That drink in my hand is a Cherry Cheesecake Martini. Uh....yum.

The Green Wedding Contest is available to all couples who book with us for their 2008 wedding. The idea is simple: David Lynn Photography will choose the couple with the most socially and eco-friendly wedding day, and that couple will win a custom David Lynn Wedding Collection including photo coverage and a handcrafted wedding album...all valued over $4000.00!

To enter, couples will need to submit a written description of about 200-300 words explaining what they will do to remain socially and eco-conscious throughout their wedding day. They will also need to provide images of the items used if possible. So put your thinking caps on and pass the word along to all of your newly engaged friends!

Remember, just by choosing such things as organic foods, vintage wedding gowns, and charitable gift registries, being socially and eco-conscious on your wedding day can go a long way to protect our planet and culture. This month's images are from our recent trip to Hawaii (see also blog post "Ha-Wow-ii". We spent a week of our time on Maui, and went on a great 8-hour hike on top of the Haleakala volcano. The landscape is truly surreal, best described as walking on the moon. (At least that's what the moon looked like last time we were there). There were cinder cones everywhere, and the Silversword plants scattered the landscape. These are found only on the Hawaiian islands, and they only bloom a tall stalk of foliage every 50 years. Pretty impressive, and a really cool plant to photograph! I found myself huddled next to these plants, just getting lost in the fuzzy coated swords. Check'em out HERE!
